My name is David Mazzucchi, and I hail from Oregon, USA. Although, to my knowledge, I was created in California. I have many skills as an artist, but this feature is focused on me as an illustrator.
I have been an artist all my life. Drawing is my sustinance, the reason for my existence. Being an illustrator is much like a belief, or religion for me. And, it is a way for me to bring my ideas and imagination to life.
Drawing puts me in a state of passionate disarray, where all my emotions and feelings are mixed. I become lost in whatever reality I’m creating at the time. This is my poison.
Since coming to Nagoya, I have done card art for BANDI, illustrated CD jackets and event fliers, designed samba costumes, art directed films, graphic designs for motorcycles and helmets, SFX make-up for films, special events and live performances, and live art.
Right now, I’m mainly doing work as art director and motion graphics artist, specifically with Nameless Media and Productions, as well as a freelance illustrator/ concept and character designer/ SFX makeup artist.
You might spot me standing on the subway train sketching away, or find me at a Starbuck’s doing the same thing… only sitting down.
