Run by an Englishman and his Japanese wife, this Southeast Asian restaurant serves up food they discovered while traveling in the various countries of the area. The recipes are unchanged from the originals, and the taste is authentic (and sometimes hot!). They’ve taken the name of the restaurant from the man who founded Singapore, Stamford Raffles, whose name is attached to many other places in Singapore, including the famous Raffles Hotel. Located on a back street, with a lush tropical garden, Raffles’ has an at-home atmosphere, and you can forget you’re in Japan!
